This morning, while walking slowly, I realized something that made me smile: there are luxuries that don’t cost a thing. Drinking your coffee in silence. Listening without looking at your phone. Having the mental space to create, to laugh, to simply be. And I thought: that feels a lot like being rich.
And I’m not talking about denying the value of money. I’m talking about recognizing the invisible—what you already have that doesn’t jingle in your wallet. In this post, I want to remind you of what you already know about abundance and intention. Because you do know it—but sometimes, we forget. Because…what if being rich were a way of seeing life??
The most underrated resource: attention
We’re trained to save money, but not energy. To plan expenses, but not desires. To chase after more… instead of asking whyAnd sometimes, we wake up feeling behind, even when we’re keeping up with everything. Curious, isn’t it?
What if we treated our time like we treat an investment? What if, instead of asking “what do I have to do today,” we asked “what matters to me today?” To do that, I need to reflect on who I am and what my Big Five are. I talked about that in one of my first attitude pockets del bolsillo actitud.
Abundance
Abundance begins with what you choose to see. Little Prince from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry once said:
“What is essential is invisible to the eye.”
ANTOINE DE SAINT-EXUPÉRY
Imagine if you could rearrange your day like an art gallery: you only hang on the wall what truly moves you. An hour to think without notifications. Ten minutes to stretch with music. An entire afternoon for a nourishing conversation. You don’t need more time. You need intention.
You don’t need big changes. Just one powerful question:
Does this bring me closer to or further from the life I want?
One exercise to start today
Make a list of what you consider “a rich life”: Feelings, routines, people, places, silences.
Now look at your past week. How many of those were present?
Pick one to add tomorrow. Just one.But treat it like a real appointment—put it on your calendar. As it was a big appointment, because it is.
Sometimes we don’t need to change our life. Just our perspective.
Sometimes it’s not a lack of time. It’s a lack of clarity.
And sometimes, the greatest luxury is being able to say: I chose this..
The true measure of your wealth is how much would it be if you lost all your money.
