Seaside promenade, Palma

Let your books speak for you

I know. I'm arriving more than just in time for this month's book recommendations. I'm not looking for excuses, I swear. But it's been a little over a month and a half since we welcomed a new member into our home. I never imagined that a pet could absorb so much of your time. Now, more than ever, I truly admire parents. You are superheroes..

Between raising and playing with our puppy, summer parties, work, get-togethers with friends and family... reading, well, I've read very little, I admit it right away. But I have managed to discover a good book, and I'm going to share recommendations for "old" books that I loved back in the day. I like to imagine that the books I'm reading and enjoying say a lot about who I am. What do the books you've read recently say about you?

Books have the same enemies as humans: fire, moisture, animals, time, and their own content.

Paul Valéry

Time to get back to the routine

Could there be a more repeated phrase in these last days of August? Talk of returning to the routine, the end of vacations and cycles, the start of a new school year... I prefer to think that I haven't completely left my routine, but rather, I've chosen some parentheses here and there.

The idea of having to resume a routine sounds much more tiring than if we just have to continue with it. It's like lifting heavy bags. Making the first change, lifting them from the ground, is the most tiring part. Once they're in the air, it's easier to keep holding them. So , try doing this with your routine. Don't let it go, especially if you've managed to establish a series of habits that benefit you and bring you joy. That's the key.

What to read - August

We could almost say September already. But let's not be drama queens; we still have 21 days of summer left. Here are some recommendations for the upcoming weeks.
